tallow vs Lard

I'm wondering what are the differences If any besides one come from cow and the other pig?

I'm looking for a good frying oil for making things like homemade chicken fingers, fried clams etc. I have yet to find any lard around here but I think I can find tallow.

Flavor is different. Lard should be neutral flavor, which makes it good for things like pie crust. Tallow tends to taste beefy. If the taste would work for your purposes, try it.
