My daughter is 11 months old and I have been exclusively breastfeeding since she was born and working full time since she was 12 weeks old. I would like to stop pumping once she is one year, but continue to nurse on demand before and after work. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to do this? Do I still need to pump at night or in the morning? I'll start her on cow's milk at one year and she has been eating a fair amount of solids. I'm not exactly sure what the best way to transition is, so I would love some feedback!

I eased myself into it; I was pumping 2x a day from 7 weeks on. around 11 months I switched to just once a day, and hung up the bag altogether at 12 months.
This way my body would have some time to adjust to the decreased demand. While I was decreasing, DH (who is a SAHD) just ramped up the solids a bit, and if needed, used the freezer stash to make up what I wasn't pumping. Once I stopped pumping all together, we just nurse when I am home, and he gets solids + water or OJ while I am gone. He does get cow's milk occasionally, but it is not a regular part of his day.
I am pregnant now, and even though I am only 5 w, my supply is already decreasing rapidly, so we will likely wean soon.

i second the advice you already got, and would add.. make sure you are getting enough rest. be mindful of the way mastitis feels (just like you're coming down with the flu) just in case, nurse your bub at night if you have been and expect an increase if you are cosleeping/night nursing like we did/are. you might want to also drop the last session in the middle of the week rather than on monday (assuming you work m-f) because (and this is what happens to me) your lo will probably nurse more on the weekends and will boost supply and you don't want to start off with the dropping the session with super full boobs. take your pump with you just in case. if you feel uncomfortable, go ahead and pump.
b/c we night nurse etc. the stopping of pumping at work never affected our supply at all. but dd seriously makes up for it on the weekends. and she decided she doesn't like freezer milk anymore, either.
