Do you floss your teeth?

If so, how frequently?

Never, anymore.  I used to, years ago, and then one night a filling flew out of my mouth as the floss caught an edge of it and now I really have a bit of a phobia about it.  I have terrible, terrible teeth, but oddly enough for the last several years my dentists have been praising my oral hygiene.  I have even had them say "you do such a great job flossing!"  lol  My gums have always been very healthy.

I don't think my husband has flossed in the 22 years I've known him and his teeth look beautiful and healthy.

My mother only flosses when her gums "need it".  I'm not entirely sure what that means.  But she says when she needs to, she flosses everyday for about two weeks and that does the trick.  She's never had much in the way of tooth problems and no problems with her gums.

Yes, about 3-5 times a week, BUT a) my teeth are all crowded so they get clogged up even with very careful brushing, and b) i am very mainstream when it comes to dental care.  The only reason i don't floss daily is because my gums are sensitive and the dentist suggested every other day might be better.  I have pretty good teeth.  Sadly my filling-free days are over but i think i have 4 significant fillings and 2 little tiny patches.
