Developed one good habit, help me pick my next one.

I believe that I have successfully developed the habit of keeping the front doorway clear. I come home, hang up coats, put my bags away and keep my inbox reasonably sane. I put a memo board inside the front closet to help remind me. It's been great and was dated 12/21. I think I can add something to this now.

Choices are:

Keep sink clear - On the positive side, it's in the main "public" area of the house, but I don't really care if I have a sink full of dishes.

Keep dining room table clear. Again, in the public area, but DH says that would require his cooperation. Now we can eat at the table, but there are still a few things on the ends. DH is totally against this.

Keep my nightstand clear - This would have most positive effect on MY life. I spend a lot of time in bed nursing, but now the baby is standing, crawling and grabbing. But it's not where anyone can see it.

Keep dresser clear - Again, not in the public area and it would certainly lift my spirits to see my lovely dresser, but the clutter there doesn't interfere with anything like the nightstand clutter.

I vote for nightstand since it sounds like that will have the most positive impact on you. I think if you start on things that help you, it's then easier to tackle things that help everyone but require others to pitch in. smile.gif Whatever you choose, good luck!

For me it would be the sink but I can't stand dirty dishes. I think if the nightstand would be the biggest impact to you then that's what I'd go for. It'll make it an easier habit to develop and be more encouragement to develop others once you were done.

Vote sink sense I'm so happy with my sink cleaning or night stand sense that is something you feel positive about , maybe nightstand and dresser ? Sense it's such a similar task and you feel positive about both verse ambivalent about the sink ? Do what you feel is best joy.gif

I was just coming here to post that I'm going to do BOTH the nightstand AND dresser. They are kind of related with things moving from one place to the other (depending on space, urgency, and susceptability to baby fingers which can reach the nightstand but not the dresser).
