Oh Whining!

My lovely daughter is a joy to be around most of the time.  She is a really funny and great kid, but her biggest bad habit is whining. I am not sure if my pregnancy hormones have made me less patient or if she has begun to whine more.  I am wondering if any one has dealt with this and can give me ideas on how to deal with her.  I really would like our home to be a bit happier!

I wish I had suggestions.  Unfortunately I have a screamer, not a whiner.  I do know that when dd starts to scream at me I look at her and say, "I'll be glad to listen when you want to talk to me.  Otherwise you can go over there and scream."  It seems to work because now all I have to do is look at her and start to walk away and she will start to talk to me.
