Hot & sweaty plus cramping question

Is it normal in Early preg to feel hot & sweaty?Its my back dripping sweat or I wake up with wet hair from all the sweat.Also I have felt quite a few cramps like a period is coming,is this normal?

Period cramps are totally normal. In fact, It's more common for me to have "period" cramping when I am pregnant then when I'm not. As far as the sweating is concerned, that was definitely not something that I experienced. Every pregnancy is different though. You'll probably be as cold as ice with your next one. :-)

This is my first pg (out of 4) that I have experienced hot flashes in the first tri. Took me by surprise as well! And yes, the cramping is normal.

Yup - think hormonal changes can cause all types of temperature fluctuation.  Some days I sweat like anything and I'm not usually a sweaty Betty.  Early on in the pregnancy getting night time temperature right was a real challenge.  I was too hot then too cold etc.
