Hi mamas! Excited to be here for the second time around. I just took the test tonight, and while I was already pretty sure I was pregnant, it was awesome for it to be confirmed :-)
While my due date according to the "date of last period" would be the end of September, I'm fairly confident when I conceived, which would put me at the beginning of October. Since DS was a week late, I'm thinking it's safer to be here anyway. Hope you'll have me
As far as the questions go...
Are you drinking coffee? Sushi? Wine/Beer?
Yes still to coffee though trying to gradually decrease to decaf, had a ton of sashimi the other night but probably won't do much raw fish from here forward (so hard, I looooove sushi), and now that I know for sure I'm pregnant, I won't be drinking much wine or beer until 3rd trimester (and then it will be only occasional treats :-)
How many trips to the bathroom do you take a night?
So far only one. It's still early though.
How is your partner handling the pg?
He's psyched, but like a lot of other partners, worried about finances since we are paying for midwife out of pocket and I have to get regular health insurance now as back up.
Do you touch your belly?
Just started too. It's nice :-)
Do you "feel" magic go on in there?
Hard to say, but when I think about all the magic that's going on, it's hard not too feel it!
Looking forward to getting closer to ya'll. This is my outlet too since I'm not planning on telling anyone until 12 weeks (if I can wait that long before showing!)

that was annoying! Showed three births: one voluntarily fully-medicated; one "forced" c-section after failure to progress w/large baby; and one first-timer with doula & birthplan who insisted on going as naturally as possible. The first woman was hilarious and seemed to get through the whole thing quickly and with a sense of humor. The second struggled a bit, but kept a sense of humor too. The third labored for like 20 hours and during which time the entire nursing staff were rolling their eyes at her, or so the editing made it seem. Oh yea, and the "crazy lady" was past due so she had come in to be induced. Her nurse was particularly infuriating - pushy and scolding. (The CNM who did the actual delivery seemed lovely, but she wasn't around for the majority of the labor.) The clear take-home message was that opting for fully-medicated birth or trying for natural birth but submitting to surgical birth when it becomes necessary are both completely legitimate options, but laboring for *gasp* 20 hours and periodically going off monitors, wanting to avoid intervention, is just pigheaded and foolish.
