Going back to EBF after supplement

Thread Starter
Due to back to back to back (colds, food poisoning) & then extra hours & stress at my FT job, I have depleted my stash & supply. I will have to give my 5 month old formula, at this point for at least a few feedings at the DCP for the next couple days. I'm heartbroken, to say the least. Do I have any hope of turning this mess around & going back to EBF? I have always eaten oatmeal, drank Mothers Milk tea, etc. Please help?

Of course you can. If you aren't already, add a pumping session at night right before you go to bed. You can also add a pumping session before or after your job. Some people have luck with double pumping, i.e. pump ten minutes, rest ten minutes (great to take a shower), pump ten minutes. Consider spending the weekend at home/in home for a nurse-in.

Nipple stimulation and milk removal encourage relactation. More info: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/relactation.html

You can do it (!) you will soon be back on track.
