How much are you showing? - Page 2

I had kind of a big belly to start with.
I have two bellies really, an upper belly and a lower belly. Both are getting bigger. If I didn't have this upper belly, people probably would not be able to tell. I definently look pregnant now especially when I wear maternity clothes(which I'm wearing more and more).
It will be nice when my two bellies merge and become one belly.
Anyway I hope thats whats gonna happen.

Jodie,

:LOL Good luck with the merge!

Jodie spoke for me. My upper belly usually sits pretty flat (my mom has always said that I have great posture and so I look like I have a flat tum!!) but now that the babe is pushing it up - that plus the feeling of being bloated anytime I eat - I look way huger than I really am. Pregger pants seem to fit best when they're up over both bellies.

MW found my fundus to be 2-3 cm below my navel. Jo is psyched for my bellybutton to turn inside out. :LOL

Jen and Jodie - I promise the two bellies will merge! That's my problem too. The thing is, my upper belly is already getting pushed out. At least the over the belly preggo pants help to create the "merged" look. :

The elastic waiste of my maternity pants slides down and gets stuck between the two.

My theory for the two is that everything (internal organs) is being pushed up to the top by the growing uterus. I'll just blame it on that.

Melanie - I had to safety pin some maternity pants today, because all my old stuff won't fit and all my maternity stuff is still to big. If I didn't have to go to work, I would just wear sweats for a couple of weeks. I feel kind of silly, like I'm "trying" to look more pregnant than I really am.

:LOL Thanks Sarah for the reasurance.

Glad I'm not the only one with "two" bellies.
Y'all are right though things like dresses, overalls, and maternity pants help my tummy look more "merged".

I think its funny that I'm only 16 weeks and people can already tell I'm pregnant, and I'm already wearing some maternity clothes.
Dh said last night,"Well you've been wanting to look pregnant and have a pregnant belly so, you got it."

Trying to imagine what I will look like in September.

shrinking belly... NO WAY!

O.K.
So for awhile there I was convinced that i had shrunk... well I was definitely imagining things. I think maybe I paused, but am once again leaping ahead. My skin feels all tight and achy from how big my belly is. And the "super bra" i bought about a month ago is leaving welts across my nipples!!! Good grief!

When i walk my belly swings back and forth, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right.......

Time to take more pictures

Rotundly yours,
Anna

experienced mama's, HELP!

I think my belly button is about to pop... You know, become an outy instead of an iny. It feels all tight and achey.
So my question is..... Will it gradually move out? Or... will I be walking along and suddenly hear a POP! and look down to see my belly button poking out?

Just wondering? te hee hhheeee

I can tell with myself, that the bottom belly is all babies, and the top belly is all gut, because I look slim and pregnant between meals, but after I eat a big meal, I just look monstrous! =O)

I bought a pair of Gap "Long and Lean" jeans two sizes too big at the beginning of my pregnancy, had to belt them. They kindof go under the tummy, but not as much as those low rise types. I'm now 17 weeks along with twins, and those wonderful jeans still work for me! I need a belt (by the way, I chose one of hubby's belts and poked my own holes) between meals, but can now wear them without a belt when the upper belly is big. =O)

Everyone asks me how I can possibly fit into normal, cute jeans still. I tell them my secret. Oh, and these jeans will be great for the transition after birth back to a slimmer tummy.

Anna , are you rubbing cream or oil onto that growing, itchy belly of yours? It's supposed to help. I indulged and bought a jar of "Pregnant Belly Salve" by Motherlove at the co-op because I'm starting to get stretch marks despite the fact that I've been rubbing my whole body with jojoba oil every day. But I also get stretch marks really easily... all over the place.

I have to grump a little and say that I wish my breasts were growing, they're just constantly tender and the nipples are about 10 shades darker than they used to be, but my pre-pregnancy bras fit just fine. I guess I should be happy that I haven't had to go out and buy lots of new bras eh!

Savannah- Congrats on your twins!!!!!!!! Twins have such a wonderful, beautiful bond You're going to have a blast!

I'm about 15 weeks and feeling like I'm not showing much at all. I'm very petite so usually I show pretty quickly. With my first two pregnancies I was in maternity clothes before the end of the first trimester (however, they were both twin pregnancies so that could be why). This time I'm wearing bigger size pants but mainly have a good size belly after I eat then it shrinks

So, I'm embarressed to say that I've worried about my lack of growth this time! hahaha You'd think I'd have this down by now...this being my 4th babe...

Congrats everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
