Uhg.Wish I could help you with the tension.I really don't understand it and cross my fingers that it stays good.

I added the hooded scarf (it was way harder to get a pic of than I thought it would be)and the sweater blanket to the flick.

Trying to tell my self to go wrap more.I don't like the wrapping part.

Me either... and none of the dials make sense to me really... they all have numbers and none of them are labeled... I mean, I've read the manual and feel like I'm a smart enough person generally, but the sewing machine always leave me stumped.

I finished five terrariums, with just the wine bottles left. I might just sprinkle some wheat grass seeds inside, since they're for my nieces. I want to go back and get a few more of the glass containers, since we have extra supplies. They look pretty neat, and I've learned which jars are better than the others. No more small jars! Those are too much work, and I had to trim the moss down. I just need to find them a nice spot in the house for storage until Christmas.

Wow!  Your stuff is really nice - I just looked at your flicker page.  Is the hooded scarf fleece?

The hooded scarf is flannel on the outside and jersey on the inside.Very comfy.

Rere- Pictures make me happy. I love it all. I kept thinking, "oh thats my fav, oh, that is, oh that is"  So in essence it's all awesome! I still love the stocking so much! The sweater blanket looks super cozy. I always love felt food, I plan on getting busy on making some if this babe is a little girl (or boy actually). I really liked the wool hat. Well, as I said it all rocks. People are so lucky to receive gifts from you every year. I'm pretty sure if I was on your list, I'd look forward to your gift more than anything else!

I always feel a little vulnerable sending the gifts out to people.Does anyone else deal with that?

Sometimes I feel weird giving home made gifts - my husband's family is very consumerist, but also appreciates artisan products, so it can go either way with them. But this year most of what I made is for the baby, so I don't think he'll be too harsh a judge. :-)

I made my daughter a simple quilt out of our clothes when I was pregnant.It lives in the living room now because it's way more my style than it is her style(not her style at all actually)but she still loves it because I made it for her.I hadn't anticipated what an awesome feeling that would be 7 yrs later.

My sister got our Mom a Kindle, so I'm making her a couple cases for it. One is white eyelet, and the lining is a champagne satin that I used to make the flower girl dress for my niece when she was in our wedding. The other I'm making out of a black fabric with little white polka dots, and a pink flannel lining. I might put a pocket on the black and pink cover. I just need to get some ribbon, and possibly some felt or batting for lining if I don't already have enough. I'm using this pattern, but scaled up a little for the Kindle Touch:

I finished up my MIL's bag, made cookies for DH's work, and made progress on DS1's cardigan sleeve. And the online bought presents arrived.

Ok today I need to:

put a coat of finish on the box for my BIL

work on the last group of t-shirts for my husband

help my daughter make a snow globe

continue working on salt dough ornaments with the kids(they're in the oven right now)

wrap!(I really don't like the wrapping)

and maybe make the wine bottle glasses.Although I think that is a project that will go better without the 2 yr old's help so I may wait for tomorrow for that one.

I guess that means a nap with my nephew is out.

First coat of finish on the box is drying.

The snow globe lid is drying.

Ornaments are STILL in the oven.

The 2yr old is napping without me and the 7 yr old is busy making things.I guess that means it's time to get going on more t-shirts for my husband.

I'm so close to being finished with my husband's present but I need to keep these last ones a secret from my daughter and she's up in my craft attic working on a gift.I'm itching to finish!

We had a snowglobe failure.Not sure what my girl is going to make for her grandma now.Hmmm?Off to look for some ideas to present to her...

Lordy I'm not going to try to get all that done.. I always plan for more than Ill do because that way I have a choice over what to do.. Then anything not done gets pushed back for birthdays or other occasions. It helps the "I don't want to" that happens when I tell myself I HAVE TO do something. I avoid pushing myself into a corner by saying I have to get something specific done because otherwise I won't get it done. I'm horrible that way..

Although I probably could get it all done if I wanted to. Most of whats there is between 25-90 percent done already. I don't have a single project that's not at least started. A few of them just need things like interfacing or buttons sewn in. I just know myself enough to know they WONT get done so I'm not even going to try (yea, I know I'm a defeatist but it works for me :))

Today all I did was moan over my brakes going out (AGAIN), deal with crabby kids (please people stop passing your germs to me so I stop passing them to my kids, it makes them crabby) and sit thinking "I need to be doing something".. Tomorrow is going to be a better day, I plan on working on:

The front of the bus sweater, sewing it up and adding an arm

working on some little gnomes to go with the dollhouse I sewd

sewing an apron (I have one of those pre-printed panels I just need to sew it up)

doing some hairties

sewing the front of one of the carmats to the back and adding the closure to it

finishing up a baby outfit, just needs buttons and interfacing

doing some finger puppets

and if Im felling like it I might cast on for the baby's monster or dinosaur. Which one to do :)

I got a lot done today. Woo hoo!

- Drafted pattern for purse.
- Almost finished with both Kindle cases
- Almost finished purse that matches one of the Kindle cases
- Pressed seams for blanket for nephew. Need to cut the batting out and finish tomorrow.
- Got fabric cut to make two stuffed dinos for nephew.
- Started cutting fabric for purse for MIL.

Now I'm relaxing on a hot heating pad. Hopefully I can finish the bulk of it tomorrow, and get them all wrapped.

I was able to get one more shirt done while my daughter was in the shower.I would have done a second one last night but I think I need to go buy another shirt.I really don't want to go buy another shirt.This last group of t's for my husband is actually a matching set for the 3 of us.We have this joke about matching(he thinks we should,I think NOT).For mine,I was just going to use a t-shirt that I already have but when I went to put the letters on it,it didn't look as good as I thought.

It is just as I feared. Now I'm back at work and I haven't touched anything. And my sewing machine is a mess. I just have to sew four more things...and do the glass etching. I guess it's going to happen this weekend. I can't not have gifts for my nieces (the sewing) or my husband (the glass etching). Sigh. Seriously - I'm going to start planning for next year in January, to be done by November 1st. I can't do this last minute stuff anymore... it's just sucking the fun right out of it.

I finished up the Kindle cases, the matching purse, and sewed and pressed the dino stuffed toys. Maybe tomorrow...I'm too sore and tired to do more today.

Oh my, I haven't been to this thread in while and wow, so much making happening!

I finished all my dc's teacher gifts -- for 5th grader, I knit his teacher a scarf.  For 7th grader , knit holiday washcloths with fun, holiday soap (gave them tea to go with it), and for the specialty teachers, I gave my homemade jams with fun cocktail napkins.  All in all, there were 14 gifts that went out the door for teachers this morning!  Phew!! 

Also, I have only to do one more sleeve for my ds's sweater.  I know I can finish by Christmas morning.  I might have to block it after Christmas, though!

I would love to knit my dh a hat for Christmas, but I don't know....I've been knitting for 10 years, and he's never gotten a hat from me!!  How'd that happen??  If not for Christmas, then for Valentine's Day, for sure!

Love hearing everything you are all working on.  Such inspiration!!
