How to dessicate liver?

We've tried the liver and just CAN'T do it. You can mask it, but you can't take it away. BLECH!

However, I do want to get it into me, dh and the 2 kids that can take a pill. But I can't find instructions online to dessicate it and stuff in capsules. I can get my hands on good quality grass fed organic beef liver from the farm. I have 6 of them in the freezer now.

I have an excalibur dehydrator. We have dried, powdered and encapsulated my placenta twice (which, ironically, tasted so much like liver to me that I would gag if I smelled it at all and I had to hold my breath to take them). Is it basically the same thing? We did that in the oven, but could I use the excalibur (and not permanently infuse it with liver stench)? Do I need to wash the liver really well before drying, etc, like the placenta?

TIA

I just took liver that had been frozen for at least 2 weeks to kill any parasites and cut it into pill size pieces.  I just keep all the little pieces in a freezer bag and swallow 2 pieces a day just like a pill.  Since it's still frozen no liver taste.  Definately make sure there cut small though so there is no choking hazard.
