This weeks menu includes:

Monday: Black Bean Stir-Fry on Rice

Tuesday: Curry Cauliflower Soup with Salad and No-Knead Bread (and Sandwiches for the meat eating crowd)

Wednesday: Steam veggies, Cheese Sauce, Crescent Rolls, and Corn

Thursday: Orange Ginger Baked Tofu, Fried Rice, Black Bean Green Beans

Friday: Tacos

Saturday: New Orleans' Style White Beans, Salad, No Knead Bread

Sunday: Spaghetti Squash

 

Tuesday I have my parents coming over for dinner and Saturday I have friends coming over.  It's a good thing I like cooking for people lol.gif.

I usually use whole wheat bread flour and activate the yeast first (putting the yeast in warm water with sugar before adding it to the flour).  If you start this in the morning come dinner time you'll have a loaf of warm fresh bread for your family.


Thank you for posting that!  I made it yesterday and love it.  I had to run the pan into dh as soon as I took it out of the oven because it was so pretty!  My breadmaker's finicky so I'm happy to find a really easy, really good bread recipe.

I love no knead bread for that reason.  It's a simple recipe, perfect for busy people.  You just start it in the morning and come the evening you have a fresh, tasty bread.

This weeks plan:

Monday: Husband worked late, so we just fended for ourselves.
Tuesday: Adults -- Steamed Veggies, Peanut Sauce, Potatoes DD -- Sweet Potatoes
Wednesday: Adults -- Dinner with in-laws DD -- Likely whatever gets passed to her off of our plates, rice cereal
Thursday: Adults -- Tacos, Polenta-Style Corn Casserole, Salad DD -- Apple Sauce
Friday: Adults -- Lentils with Gingery Spinach topped with Yogurt, Rice DD -- Lentils
Saturday: Adults -- Channa Saag (Chickpea and Spinach Curry), Rice DD -- Lentils
Sunday: Adults -- Creole Vegetables and Red Bean Jambalaya DD -- Apple Sauce
