Prefold question

I won a lot of new dipes on ebay.  It has 20 unbleached newborn size OzoCozy brand prefolds.  It arrived today and I'm confused.  I'll be a first time mom so I have nothing to compare to, but it seems like something is off.  A good chunk of the diapers are totally uneven.  You know how there is supposed to be the thicker middle part with the thinner part on each side so you fold each side in?  Well, on a whole bunch of them, they'll be the thick middle part, but it won't be in the middle.  There will be like an inch on one side and then 4 inches on the other.  It's not even at all.  Did I get ripped off or is this typical?  They have been washed once by the seller who was starting a diapering business, but never used them...which I believe because she has like 6 other auctions with a massive amount of diapers to sell.

Anyway, are these defects or is this typical?

they should have the thicker part roughly even from each side, that way the thicker part sits evenly between the legs.

Thanks.  I contacted the seller and she hadn't realized they were "off".  She checked her remaining dipes and saw that some were "off" as well.  She is sending me new ones for no charge. :)
