Anyone do anything 'extra' to PFs?

So we are almost 6 weeks out and wash our prefolds every day to 2 days still. I am just starting to notice faint yellow stains. I was wondering if anyone does a monthly or bimonthly regimen that helps preserve the quality of the prefolds and if so what is it?? We currently spray poo off, spray with BacOut and wash hot heavy duty cycle. Seems to work well. Something extra you recommend?? Thanks!!

We're having the same issue. I am pretty sure that the stains will sun out, but that's hard to do in PA in the winter—I imagine the same is true in OR. I plan to hang ours out on the next above-freezing, sunny day and see if that helps things any.

Doesnt need to be above freezing. Doesnt even need to be particularly sunny. I've sunned dipes on overcast days just fine (overcast is the norm most of the year). Half an hour in the sun and you can toss them in the dryer.

I use Oxiclean Free in the wash - no stains after 10 weeks. Add a little Ecover fabric softener (CD safe) to the rinse, and you have stain-free and really soft prefolds.
