So I've properly prepped my prefolds (at least I hope so!) and now I'm washing covers and a few newborn AIOs (Lil Joeys), and I will be tackling some fitteds later.  I'm beginning to regret getting so many different styles and colors.  I know that PUL covers and AIOs both need to be washed first, and in hot water... however I was afraid that the colors would run so I put some PUL covers and Lil Joeys of a similar color scheme (blues and greens) together on a cold wash.  Now I'm wondering if I also need to put them through a hot wash.  In the wash now are colors along the lines of orange and brown (including a brown fleece cover), which I am washing on cold in hopes that the colors will set.  If I have to put the diapers and covers through a hot wash, can I put the blue/greens and the orange/browns together for the hot wash, or will the colors run?

I feel like an earth-non-friendly water hog doing all these wash loads, however I also put a LOT of money into these diapers and don't care to see them all become a nasty mess of random color blotches!

As for fitteds, I have 3 Happy Heinys fitted Sherpas, and one Motherease Sandy's "Bamboo" (although the materials say 57% rayon, 24% cotton, 19% polyester... so I have no idea why they are calling them bamboos???).  Do these need to be washed with similar type only or can they go in together, or even better all with something else?

I thought I was SO smart trying out a bunch of different kinds, but now I'm kicking myself because if they all need separate laundering, that is NOT economical, time-friendly, or earth-friendly!
