wwyd with this freezer stash?

dd is just about to turn one. december was the first time i ever thawed from my stash. dd refused it and after tasting the milk, there's a lipase issue that makes it taste soapy. my plan was to send freezer stash milk with dd to childcare after she turned one (because although we're still going to nurse, i need to be done pumping after she turns one). but i tried mixing it half and half with fresh milk and goats milk and she still won't take it. i am a milk donor and the milk bank has no problem taking the milk even with the lipase issue. so i donated everything in my stash 6 months and newer that was eligible to donate. the remaining milk is between 6 and 9 months old or i took advil that day and it's marked not to donate (per milk bank regulations). this adds up to about 200-300 oz.

what would you do with it? i can't see that anyone else would want it for their baby if it tastes soapy.

Some babies don't care about the soapy taste.  Others will drink it if it's diluted with other milk (breastmilk or otherwise).  If you are comfortable with a private donation situation, that might be an option.  Otherwise, you could try to use it in food (hot/cold cereal, smoothies) or make cheese/yogurt with it (there are recipes on-line if you do a search).  It seems horrible to just throw it out!

I would offer it on Milkshare or Eats on Feets and just disclose the lipase issue.  As Cheri said, some babies don't mind the taste.  Also, some babies are tube fed, so taste wouldn't be an issue there.
