I used tylenol for my daughter about a month ago during a quick, weird virus. I generally don't do tylenol for fever unless it gets above 101, and it spiked at 103.
Now we are dealing with the flu and decided to treat with Tamiflu. I gave her the SAME tylenol yesterday morning for her fever. After that, her fever broke, and all last night and this morning she was doing great. About 2pm she started complaining of a really sore throat, and after her late nap (woke up at about 5:30) her fever read between 102-103 (temporal scanner thermometer).
Question:
Do you think it's just the nature of the flu for fever and other symptoms to come and go, or do you think I gave her the old virus back by using the old tylenol? I guess since we're all on Tamiflu I assumed we'd continue to get better and not go backwards in recovery.
Either way I'm chucking the old tylenol.
