How long until she's done experimenting with how long she can hold it?

We went a month with dd telling us she when she had to go every time, and now have had 3 accidents in four days. Because of the when they happened and what she was doing, I suspect she's in that phase where they see how long they can hold it.

Anything to do about it besides telling her that pee goes in the potty and that I know she'll get there on time next time?

I'm still in the "remind her when I think she needs to go" phase.  Maybe your little one still needs a bit of this.  She's doing so well that I don't always make sure to do laundry in time to have a lot of extra panties available.  Pants are even more scarce right now since she just grew out of a bunch.  If I'm running low, I make sure to let her know that if the next pair gets wet, she gets a trainer.  That usually prevents the next puddle, and if it happens, the fact that she was warned helps keep from having a terrible power struggle when I don't have another pair of clean panties for her.

Annoyingly, she's also finally entered the phase where she defaults to "no" when asked if she needs to use the potty. Plus side, it seems that asking is putting the idea into her head so that if she really has to go she'll ask for the potty a few minutes after being asked about it.

Sigh... I really enjoyed the month of not having to think about the potty at all.

DD does this too.  She holds it til the last possible minute and then we really have to rush to the potty. When we're out and about, I just don't trust her and I hate saying that.  But she usually does ok -- I just keep her in a pullup out of the house.  In the house...well, sometimes we make it and sometimes we don't.  I really am ready for this phase to be over! She's 28 months.
