AFM, OMGosh!!  I am on my 3rd day in a row of positive OPKs (plus I had another one a couple days before these 3).  What the heck is going on?  Do you think maybe they're faulty?  I got them on eBay for super cheap so I'm wondering if they're just crappy.

I had that problem with some of the cheapie OPKs before, too many positive (or almost positives that I interpreted as positive) in a row.  I highly recommend the ClearBlue digital smiley OPKs.  They cost a little more, but I would seriously only use about four or five per cycle, so a  box of twenty can last for months.  Just a suggestion.  Good luck!

Congrats Nicolian!!!

That makes me feel a little bit better.  Since you're "supposed" to O within 24-36 hours of the first positive OPK, I couldn't imagine STILL getting positives.  I think they're faulty.  If we're not successful this cycle I think it's time to get out the big guns and go for the Clear Blue ones.  I hear lots of good things about those.  Thanks for your help!

MommyMatsumoto...   I use the Answer brand OPKs. You sometimes get a day or two of extra positives, but they are reasonably priced and you can usually interpret the truly positive one. I completely ignore the label claiming they expire within a month once they're open. And right now some are still sporting $7 rebates!

Thanks! I'm off to move those who I haven't yet.

I do tend to keep the plural "donors" under my hat. If a donor outright asks, I will tell him. Otherwise I think that info is best left to myself. Even donors don't like to share.  ROTFLMAO.gif

Everybody have a Reproductive Weekend!

Oh! I had to stay up past my bedtime, but I did get a BD in last night. And it looks like my OPK might be positive this morning!

Of course the BD I had scheduled for tonight was cancelled, but I have all day to get another one lined up.

I'm not usually this TTC crazed, but I took Soy this cycle and don't want to waste it!

lol!! Good luck tonight!

Congrats nicolian!!!! I guess we will have to find a new threadkeeper now, eh?

AFM - when I took my temp this morning (CD13) I got a temp that looked like a post-O temp and I kinda freaked out cause I wasn't expecting to O for a few more days and I only got 1 BD in so far! I usually sleep in on Saturday mornings but the temp was so bizarre I had to get up right away to go pee on an OPK and my fertility monitor test stick to confirm. OPK was negative so I guess the temp was just some random weirdness. Anyways now that I'm up, I might as well start packing for my trip, I'm leaving tomorrow... woohoo!

Now that I am heading to the beach I finally have no choice but to shave my legs hehe... I've been trying to save water and money by not shaving anymore. DH says this is putting a damper on our babymaking efforts from his side, so today I am going to fully remedy this situation. Anyone guilty of being too lazy to shave in winter?

A funny thing just happened...

My DH is italian-canadian and we live in the italian neighbourhood of Montreal. I wanted to choose and italian name for our baby because I think they are beautiful and I want our baby to have a first name from the same culture as their last name (unlike me, I have a german first name and french last name which has always annoyed me)! So anyways my favourite name for a while has been Matteo.

A friend of ours who is also of italian heritage and who just had a baby just posted a link on Facebook to the Montreal Italian magazine, because this issue has a few pages with all the Italian-Montrealer babies of this year with pictures and names. So I was looking at all the names of these babies and it turns out that 1 out of 2 italian-montrealer baby boys born this year were named Matteo! Blah! I have a thing against names that are too common... our kid will go to school and half the boys in his class will have the same name as him! I guess I should start looking for another name!

It's all yours, TalkToMeNow!!! I hope it gets you a BFP!

I ran the One Thread many times... That luck stuff that works for everybody else never seems to work for me. Sigh

Oh, sorry, had a moment of weakness there. Go for it TalkToMeNow!!!!

Sourire~ I have the same aversion to ultra-popular names. How frustrating that the name you really like turned out to be one!

TTMN~ good luck!

How's everyone's weekend going? DD is in bed with what I suspect is the flu, and DS has been over at a friends house all day. SO is working on his trailer because he's heading to Calgary to pick up his new-to-him scooter sometime in the next few weeks. I'm sitting here laughing because he's getting pretty creative with the profanity out there... and I'm getting organized because his mom/bro and family might be coming down next weekend.

I know I left the thread for awhile and asked to have my name taken off but I wanted to say I got a BFP on January 29th (and like a dozen since then. LOL!)! We totally didn't expect it but we are absolutely thrilled! We told ds yesterday (and our parents and siblings today) and ds was so excited love.gif

I wish everyone here the best of luck!

StephandOwen...   Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful way to start out the new year.

StephandOwen- Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news :) H& H 9 months to you.dust.gif

Whoo hoo on the BFP!

Sourire, add me to the list of mamas that dislike popular names. I was appalled when I found out my ODS' name is more popular for girls than boys. *shudder* Can Matteo be moved to middle name position?

Oh, and to answer your previous question, my SO could care less about the state of my legs, and I'm Brazilian Portugeuse. There's a lot going on on these legs. That said, he did say recently that he prefers if I DO shave. When I asked why--since for the last 9 yrs he's said he hasn't cared--he said because he finally noticed there's a correlation between the number of times a week I shave and the number of times I invite him to DTD. So, now he wants me to shave every day ROTFLMAO.gif

AFM, AF is doing a number on me. I didn't test this morning because I saw pink on the paper and I assumed she'd show up in force shortly. However, it's been 14 hours and nothing. I'm highly annoyed. I just want to get on with waiting to try again in February.  Ugh. Well, hopefully, I have just another day or two of this and then I'll be griping about something new. Ha!
