Has your baby dropped? *UPDATE*

I will be 29 weeks tomorrow and I look and feel like I've dropped. I asked DH what he thought and he said he thought I looked different to. I have an appointment with my midwife this weeks so I will be mentioning it to her.

Have any of you experienced this?

MIne hasn't dropped and stayed there, but there are days, even weeks, where he sets up camp below my belly button and doesn't move from that area.  Only in the past week has he really moved up into the top part to take advantage of the room up there.

It's worth asking about, though, never hurts to have your mw check it out!

Nope. Mine keeps turning every which way. Today he is up under my ribs but there are days where he is really low and it feels like he's trying to escape.

I don't think I've been out of the dropped stage (well, not dropped as in she's engaged). The baby has been sitting pretty low and compact for most of the pregnancy. Actually, it wasn't until I was 30 weeks that I even had some kicks above the belly button.  Now she's moving everywhere in the lower half of my abdomen.  Only once thus far has she shifted to the rib area and it was pretty fleeting.

I wouldn't say he's dropped, but he's always been low.  I'm pretty sure he's head down already, though.

My midwife appointment was moved to today since the weather is supposed to get bad....here's the low down.

Last Thursday the rib pain that I had been experiencing subsided considerably. I didn't think too much of it. On Friday and Saturday I started noticing my stomach felt smaller and I had so much more room between my breast and stomach. Last night I told DH I thought I'd dropped and he said it looked like I had. My mom was here today and she to was amazed at how it had dropped. My midwife confimed today that the baby has indeed dropped and now I'm only measuring 3 weeks ahead instead of 6. There were some traces of ketones and leukocytes in my urine. She said I need to eat more protein to reduce the ketones. The leukocytes could be a number of things and is not a worry at this point since I always seem to have a lurking vaginal infection.

She didn't check me because she didn't want to irritate my uterus. If I have any changes of course I'll call her. I have been contracting (more than BH) for awhile now but they are getting more frequent. So, I'm going to take it easy as much as I can. I'm almost 29 weeks so this little guy still needs to bake for a few weeks.

I've never experienced this type of pregnancy before. It feels like a roller coaster ride. All my other pregnancies were "by the book." This pregnancy has been quite a trip!

This kiddo has been crazy low from the start and s/he sits breech a lot, so I feel a lot of kicks way down low. I feel like the kid's situated in my vulva half the time!

I tend to carry low anyway and this baby has been head down with head inside my pelvis (about half of its head can be felt above my pubic bone so not "fully engaged" but pretty low) since my 28wk appt.  I also have a very irritable uterus and have contraction patterns almost every day that would send other women to the ER to get it checked out.  (I'd be there every day if I went by the more than 4 an hour rule most OBs have in place)  I've been using "Welcome Womb" by wish garden herbals at the advice of my MW (both previous pregnancies I was on prescription drugs to help the ctx since I'd started with CNM or OB before I switched to home borth CPM) but this time I haven't seen an OB since week 6 so no meds so far.  The WW tincture does seem to help settle my uterus a good deal.  I notice on certain days, the way the baby sets up shop (esp if it's really poking it's bum out front) can cause me to have a ton more contractions so I use the WW more on those days but it's less effective till I can get baby to move to a better position.

ETA: We're also not doing internal checks to avoid irritating my uterus any more than it already is.  I'm just hoping everything's all closed up tight!

Same here. Im 31.5 weeks and I just felt like she has dropped in the last few days. Today I had horrible pressure that I normally never had until the last few weeks with my other pregnancies. I tried to check my cervix and can feel her head. I even had DH feel so I wasnt imagining things. I had my last baby at 38 weeks so I am wondering if I will make it to that. At 34 weeks last time I was dilated to 3cm and I walked around at 5cm for the last two weeks. I am curious if I am dilated any this time around even though I know It can go on forever lol.
