Does anyone have a changing pad pattern?

I am looking for a very easy changing pad pattern.  We do not use changing tables so I was looking for something to put under babe's bum while we change her.  Yes, I know I could just use a towel, but I am in the creative mood = )

Check this out. ITs not a pattern, but it would be very easy to make nonetheless. I've used this changing pad since LO was born and its great! Love it.

Dont really need a pattern... If you dont already have PUL, i wouldnt buy it for this project. A layer of polar fleece and a layer of cute cotton print cut into a rectangle in your choice of size. Turn and topstitch or topstitch and then bind. You could also use a layer of ripstop nylon instead of the fleece, but then i'd sandwich it between a print and a layer of terry or cotton fleece (for softness on the baby's butt). The problem w nylon is it ravels like mad, so it needs to be serged or bound (or both), you cant just turn and topstitch.

I would also really think about size and shape. The changing pads i've bought (even the WAHM ones) are long and narrow. Fine for a NB, but pretty useless now that i have a toddler. I'd go at least 18 inches wide and 30 long, which should be big enough for most public changing tables. Even something roughly triangular would work - narrower at the top, to keep the head off dirty surfaces and wider at the butt where you need the width. This would take up less space in the diaper bag.

Other things to think about - ribbon tie to close it up. Velcro strap to attach it to the outside of the diaper bag. Ribbon clasp to attach a toy to (i use snaps or a suspender clip on the end).
