Unsure what this could be!? Help! I'm worried!

My nearly two and a half year old son is fast asleep right now but this is a mystery and I hope you can help......

Yesterday he woke up and was lethargic and clingy. He threw up about 40 min after his am nursing followed by his probiotic. Then again three hours later, at noon after he ate a banana. He hasn't vomited since and has no other symptoms (no fever, etc.) other than being lethargic, wanting to be held and little to no appetite. He wanted juice and water all day yesterday and nibbled on some crackers on and off. He had strep in Oct. and not knowing anything on strep, I took him to the doctor (after 3-4 days of this) who of course prescribed anti-b's and I gave (although I will say it was scary to see him that way; way more lethargic and he vomited SEVERAL times over a 72-hour period). His symptoms presented very similarly though (came on gradually, no fever, loss of appetite, lethargic, vomiting). That's why I'm thinking it could be it again reoccurring (as anti-b's tend to allow) but I don't know. He hasn't eaten anything unusual or different that would lead me to believe it's a little bug............Any ideas on what this could be or if I should be concerned?

Sounds like it could be anything, really. If it were me, I'd monitor him over the course of today and maybe tomorrow as well, and if he doesn't get better, take him into the doctor to get checked out. Of course, of something more dramatic happens, you'd respond appropriately.

Thank you for your reply! That strange little illness came and went like the wind. He never ran a fever, didn't vomit again but complained of a sore throat Mon. afternoon. I gave him Hepar Sulphuris Calcareum (advised by our naturopath) and after he took two looooong naps (unusual for him ;). When he woke Tues, he was his old self again, laughing and smiling. I'm still of course watching him but I'm sure it's over :)
