Urethra pain? TMI

I'm 34 weeks, and for the past week or so I've been having a weird pain. most of the time it's a burning sensation in my urethra and front vaginal wall. it gets a lot worse if there's any pressure put on the front wall of my vagina. sometimes when baby moves it turns into a sharp, stabbing type of pain, and sometimes I get the sharp pain for no reason that I can tell. it seems to be at its worst right after I pee. anyone have any idea what this could be, and if there's anything I can do for it?

could be a UTI, could be varicose veins in the vulva (apparently quite common in pregnancy - not sure of exact symptoms but these sound as if they might be similar).  Neither are serious in terms of danger to the baby, though a UTI would need to be treated with antibiotics to prevent it getting worse.  Either way, get it checked out.  We have to expect a certain amount of general aches and pains and random discomfort towards the end of pregnancy but this sounds to me a bit more specific and worth getting checked - though not to worry about unduly.
