i have an ebf 10 week old, and i keep getting plugged ducts whenever we have a busy day where he doesn't nurse well.. even if i pump some to make up for it. usually we are at home, but everytime we have ONE busy day, i get one. i've had 5 so far since he's been born.. and i get the body aches/fever/chills along with it... any advice?

Lecithin.

here is some info: http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/vitamins/lecithin.html

also checking your bra, bag, wrap or sling to make sure they aren't causing the plug may help. My soft structured carrier gives me plugs if I wear it for more than 1 h at a time.

thanks so much for that link! i def have "fatty" milk (ian is 15 1/2 lbs already at 10 weeks old!) so it makes sense!

at home i typically go braless or wear a sports bra or shelf-bra tank.. so i dont think it is what i'm wearing..
