K12 Enrollment

My son is technically in the 2nd grade. I am trying to enroll him in K12 for 1st grade. They are asking for proof of attendance. Has anyone had to do this? They want the dates or the hours of attendance since the beginning of the school year.

A friend of mine homeschooled one semester, then got into k12 for second semester.  They took his previous year's report cards etc. as proof of what he'd completed "officially."  And the teacher told my friend to "assess out" of the lessons they'd already covered during homeschooling.  They did want her to "complete" the entire year's worth of school stuff rather than just starting at mid-year.  This was in FL.

Maybe a copy of your homeschool letter of intent and/or copy of testing results. I used to do iowa testing at home with my kids every spring. Otherwise tell them you have no attendance records, and see where they go from that. They will find a way to enroll your child.

This is our first semester in AZ k12 program I took her out at the Christmas break from her old school and enrolled her in k12 second grade for the spring (current) semester. I had to jsut with drawl her and get last report card results and signed a release of records sheet. We had some adjsutment the first few weeks as they were strting her off at the START of ther second grade but were now caught up and even a bit ahead (her teacher eventually got the memos and moved her up) I'm not sure how it would work in reverse though..
