Need an easy to find HE detergent

I need suggestions for an HE compatible diaper-friendly detergent that is available really easily (Target, Walmart, regular grocery store, etc).. I've read all the websites listing the safe detergents, I just wanted to find out any of your experiences with which chain stores carry them. Thanks!

eta: Whole Foods is also an option.

I read on a popular diaper forum that some mamas use regular powdered Tide HE with good results. I know Tide is supposed to be a no no, but for some reason that one works just fine. We are buying a front load washer soon and I plan on trying the Tide myself. My local Kroger carries it so I would bet that Wal-Mart does too.

I've not found any HE detergent that I personally would like locally. But, I don't have a whole foods. Maybe if my hubby gets the job near DC.

If WF has the other type of liquid soap nuts detergent (I've seen it at my local health food store) that might work too. I get the naturoli stuff as reviews say that stuff is higher quality though. You could use regular soap nuts, I just personally wouldn't fool with that.

We've used a variety and came back to using tide.  We do use the HE powder kind.  We use about a TBL of detergent per load, not anywhere near the size of the scoop it came with.

I personally have used Charlie's Liquid soap in my HE front-loading machine with good results.  You can order the charlie's from their website and have it shipped directly to your home.
