Cleaning floors...

SO I'm really lazy about cleaning the hard floors. I want the easiest posible way to do it. I've been looking at steam cleaners, because when I was at my mom's over Christmas, she had one. It looked like a pretty good deal, I really liked that there were no cleaners involved, she just used vinegar. Sweet.  Anyway looking at them is a bit overwhelming, do any of you lovelies have one? What do you have and what do you like about it or not like about it?

Oh and what about sweeping? Is there a nifty way to deal with that? Some vacuume that is light and easy to use? What I really want is one of those robots :) My biggest issue is the dog hair. We have a GSD who is a shedding machine.

I had a Shark Steam cleaner I bought a Target for 100 bucks. I loved it. I just put water in the thing and it cleaned hard wood and my tile wonderfully. Then it died. I have not had it a year. Boo. I hear the Dirt Devil steam cleaner is better. I also use a big microfiber dust broom on the floor. Its like a swiffer but larger and you can wash it.  :) works great on my Dog and Cat hair. I use it for a while and vacum it when its gets gross. I have some kind of inexpensive vac for hard surfaces and that works great too.

I have a Haan steam vac. It works on rugs and hard floors. It was expensive, but it also steams to like 212 degrees to really kill the germs. I dont think its perfect, but I like it.

I love our steam mop (shark) for the tiled flooring.  It works really well, and we just use water.  I use a hard floor attachment on my central vac instead of a broom.
