so far I have shampooed the carpet with the bisslle heated carpet shampooer and whatever cleaner that came with . although the cleaner is making me sneeze like crazy and I'm wondering what kind of crazy crap is in it AND the poop is still there a little better but still !

I like oxyclean. I always run it with just clear hot water after using any type of cleaner. The carpet cleaners make me sneeze too.

Sometimes I do vinegar and water as well, but oxyclean seems best for stains.

rubbing alcohol seems to get many stains out of my carpet.

I always use Nature's miracle- it's an enzyme cleaner for pet accidents, but it works just great for people accidents, too :)
