I'm trying to get DF to actually use our cloth diapers, and he has promised he will if I get him some AIOs with Velcro. it has to be an AIO, not a pocket or a AI2, because I don't want to have to deal with putting in inserts ahead of time. and it has to be Velcro because that's what DF will do. I need something for my 20 month DD, who is about 21-22lbs and 32-33 inches. she's nursing through my pregnancy right now, so she isn't pooping solid a lot of the time, so something that contains well would be good. I also need something for the baby boy I have on the way. any recommendations?Â

http://www.bestbottomdiapers.com has One-Size AI2s with snap-in inserts (instead of stuffing, there's a snap). I haven't tried them but they look okay.

That still leaves me with having to put them together. I did that with the gdiapers for a while, and I don't want the extra work. and DF wouldn't use them because they are snaps. it has to be an AIO, and it have to be velcro. it doesn't have to be one-size, in fact, I would prefer it to not be one-size, because that would also be extra work. the idea is to have something I don't have to do any extra work for (other than washing and drying), and is as easy for dad to throw on as a sposie would be (because right now if he has to change a diaper, he throws on a sposie)

What about the Bum Genius sized AIOs? They are on clearance now at the Cotton Babies website. I have three and they hold a LOT of pee (more than my BG 3.0s one size pockets) Â I turn them inside out and hang to dry overnight, but I think they can be put in the dryer.Â
I was looking at those last night. do you know how they are at holding runny poop? also, any idea what the rise and waist are on size med or large? DD's right at the weight cut off, but she's skinny, so I'm not sure which size would work better for her.Â

My DD is 25 lbs, 33 inches and almost 20 months. All I own are size large. The rise is totally fine on her, not low at all, I'd say quite high. When I velcro the tabs, they are practically touching each other. If the tabs are too far apart, the dipe droops down and creates some leg gaping and pee can leak out then if she pees while it is gaping. I'm not sure on the medium sizing, but the larges are definitely still going to fit my girl for a while.Â

As for poo, they hold it fine for us. She nurses rarely now (I'm 21 wks PG) but she is teething molars and does have some soft/runny poo sometimes. I prefer these to my BG pockets, because they seem more leak proof.Â

hm. can the tabs overlap? I can't tell from the pictures. it sounds like if the tabs can overlap DD would be able to just barely fit into the larges, but if not they would still be a touch too big.

Yes, the tabs can overlap. They have velcro on top of the tabs.Â
Â
You could always buy one medium and one large and just try them on her for size without washing, and return the one that doesn't fit. Cotton Babies has free shipping, so it's a good deal. Once we find out the sex of baby #2 I want to go back and get a few more for that price. I hope they are still there next week!Â

I haven't used their AIO's but I use their contours and they are good. I've found the quality of their products to be good.
