s/o of the toilet paper thread

A few people mentioned being bothered about the wastefulness of using tp to line the toilet seat. I'm just curious how much toilet paper you use in a, uh, sitting.

I'll admit, I am not  a "few" squares kind of gal.  I need my hands to feel properly padded winky.gif . We don't buy the uber-cushy stuff like Charmin though; we're very bare bones Scott tissue people.

So, I probably tear off a piece that's anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 feet long to take care of business.

We go through toilet paper quickly in our house - so I probably use too much!  I can't stand it when I take too little & it tears.  We buy the cheaper stuff, too.  We do also use the TP for tissues, though - I don't buy separate Kleenex.

I only use 3-5 squares each time. If I'm just peeing, that's all I need to dab dry, and after #2 or during AF I squirt clean with a peri bottle and then, again, just have to dab dry with a few squares.

I don't know exactly. Too much, though. I try to cut back, and have tried to use a peri bottle a few times. But, honestly, with ds2 in the house, leaving a peri bottle in the bathroom is a really, really, really bad idea. So...I use too much. However, my usage is a non-issue compared to ds2. That boy uses way more than he needs. We're working on it.

Mind you, the waste of toilet paper in that thread wouldn't even be on my radar. The guy has some kind of issue (I'm guessing it's about texture), and some extra toilet paper just isn't that big a deal to me (maybe because my ex's issues involved stealing, lying and drug abuse?).

I'm a five or six square kind of girl, if I'm just peeing. We buy the cheapest single-ply available. I use the diaper sprayer (like this) and a clean washcloth (changed out daily) to dry off when AF is visiting. Poop, on the other hand, takes whatever it takes. Typically, I just use a flushable wipe. I think it probably ends up being less wasteful.

"well I don't need much, just 3 squares will do it"

"I'm sorry I don't have a square to spare, I can't spare a square"

The amount I use depends on what I'm wiping.

2-3 squares of Costco 2-ply. I never even realized that I was (well, what some consider) frugal with the TP.

I have no idea.  As much as I need I guess, I've honestly never paid attention.

2 sheets per wipe, though the amount of wipes varies.

We discussed this a week  or so ago, along with sitting round and demonstration how we hold the paper. Can you tell we have a chid learning to wipe. Our friends found it hilarious, well after establishing that the paper the found on the sofa was clean they did :lol
