how does one qualify for a medical exemption?

Are these only reserved for the severely immuniosuppressed? Do you have to have a documented case of a vaccination reaction? I am pretty sure my ds had convulsions after receiving the hep B at birth, so much so i called the nurse hotline, but was informed, that "lot's of parents call saying their babies are having seizures", so i continued to vax him until six months, but didn't see any other reactions as severe and never reported it to his healthcare provider. So now ds is almost school aged and we live in a state that has only medical and religious exemptions, so I am wondering which route to take, since I feel like my reasoning to stop vaccinating are more medical than religious...(i live in kansas, btw).

Quick answer: go religious.

If I had to pick between medical and religious I would try religious.
