Plantar warts and waterbirth

Strange question but I can't seem to find any answers online.
Every few years I get a painful plantar wart on the bottom of my foot. Usually I treat them with OTC meds and they go away. I don't think it's safe to treat them any other way but the 'duct tape' method while pregnant, which can take several weeks to work So, here I am 4 weeks from my launch date and I have one on each foot. I was planning a water birth but online sites tell me how insanely contagious warts are so I'm getting a little paranoid.

Could I spread the virus to other parts of my body or heaven forbid to the baby? I'm a little sleep deprived which I'm sure is fueling my paranoia a bit, but did anyone else have this problem?

i'm not sure but i've taken baths with a planter wart and didnt have it spread and obviously use the same shower as the rest of my family and no one else got them, good luck to you

I had some when DD2 was born, she was a water birth, nothing spread to her. I did get one on my hand shortly after that but I don't think it had anything to do with the birth at all.

You could cover them with a waterproof dressing if you're worried about it.
