OK, so my last period started Jan 16. I figured I'd ovulate around the 30th, and even though I didn't observe any signs I was fertile, we gave it our best! Then, just on Saturday (the 5th) I had the gluey-stretchy discharge that is my main ovulatory indicator, so we gave it another try. (I love to try, it is really fun and makes us feel so close and lovey, which is a great climate for welcoming our fetus!) Since I wasn't sure I'd ovulated I was hesitant to claim the 2ww...but now it seems pretty obvious. Only if I don't start my period by Valentine's will I test.

So, here are the symptoms, possibly imagined, that make me think we got so, so lucky and caught it on our first try this time:

Weird eye twitch, the first sign I noticed with my daughter, at about 5 weeks since the LMP.

Having to pee a lot, but also I'm trying to drink more fluids.

I got carsick yesterday, I was really uncomfortable in the car my last pregnancy.

Many many unusual fluttery feelings in my lower abdomen, maybe just gas.

And a funny feeling when I nurse, not painful, but a "ZING!" kinda feeling.

So, we shall see!

AFM,  I've had crazy mood swings the last few days and now sick with a cold. :(  DH was "sure" that PPAF was coming (yes, it was that bad!).  My  temp is off with the cold so I"m taking a temp break for a few days....

hey guys, can i come play with you? :) i don't even know if i really count.... we hope to have our kids close together so we're definitely ttc, but at almost 11m pp i am *still* af-less. so.... we're kind of using the 'bf'ing but bd'ing hard and fingers crossed' method of ttc ;)

Well, I went out and bought a proper store test today as was wondering if my last batch of internet cheapies were up to the job....and a clear line!  So a BFP for me  I still can't quite believe it.  DD slept 7 hours straight last night for the first time...maybe she knows!

CONGRATS SUMMERBABY!!!!  So happy for you!

AFM: Couldn't resist testing today at 9 dpo - ha!  Got a $ store one and nothing at all, not even a faint line.  But I know it's really early still.  Temp is still up, so at least I've got a 9 day or more LP this cycle.  Will test again in a couple of days if AF doesn't show.

Hi there

I just got my first ppaf about a week ago...yay! My DD is 13 months and nurses a LOT during the day and at night. I thought I was going to have to nightwean before af came back but out of the blue it arrived and seemed to be exactly the same as I remember it. I'm going to start tracking my cycles again to see if I'm O'ing again but not sure about taking my temp as DD sometimes wakes every 30 minutes still. Do many of you temp?

We hope to start trying in April. I'm one of two moms using a known donor so I have to really try and hit O with the few tries we have!

AFM - Could you please move me to Waiting to be Ready? I have some pretty intense medical testing and surgery coming and it's not compatible at all with ttc. And I have to wean. I was holding off the surgery, but it can't wait much longer. I'm really upset about all this, especially the weaning. My son is nowhere near ready, but I know I have to take care of these issues. At least I know we made it to almost 2 years old. I hope this isn't going to be too hard on him. Anyway, I wish everyone a short ride on the TTC rollercoaster and pray all of you will find yourselves with new babes to hold in your belly, then in your arms, very soon.

And best wishes to you Greenmama..  It's so hard being forced into something, but find peace in knowing you did the best for your little munchkin for as long as you did!  I'm praying for a quick recovery <3  

Oh!  AND I have EWCM!!!  But I had this last month and NOTHING--so I think my body is just gearing up!  Although my DS hasn't night nursed in days....so maybe just maybe AF is going to finally arrive!!

afm--I'm still down with an icky cold and DS seems to have the same thing--no wonder he's been nursing like a newborn the last two days!  He doesn't want anything that isn't sweet and nurses any chance he can get.  Even though my nipples are raw, I am so glad I can offer him some comfort.  Still taking all my "stuff" hoping for PPAF. :)

I haven't posted in a while as I was recovering from my m/c in January and just waiting out that following cycle. I'm back now! I have a question though. Have any of you nursing who've had BFP's then miscarried gone on progesterone? Was it doctor prescribed? My doctor won't even discuss the option and wouldn't test me when I was m/c'ing so I have no idea if it could help. I'm trying to consider all of my options as I don't want to go through that again.

I'm not expecting my period until the 13th or so, and had resolved not to test until my period was at least one day late. But this morning, after peeing like 17 times and noticing that my husband's cat is acting funny around me (she did last time I was pregnant) I couldn't help myself. Went to the drugstore, ran home, tested- negative. So I'm now back to my original plan, if no blood by Valentine's I'll test (again).

NolliesMama~ I wasn't nursing with either of my m/c, but i was on progesterone because i pushed the dr to be one it with my last m/c because my progesterone was so low when it was first drawn and that was the first time having it drawn. Progesterone won't prevent a m/c from happening if it's going to happen. I didn't have any symptoms of having a progesterone problem either. I also spotted/bleed the whole time while on progesterone.
