Morning sickness is back but I'm NOT pregnant!

Exactly this time last year I was severely nauseous and vomiting frequently because I was about 6-7 weeks pregnant with DD2 who is now 4 months old.  This sickness was 24/7 and lasted four months (I know I'm lucky it didn't last the whole 9 months like it does for some!)  Accompanying this loveliness was also a very heightened sense of smell.  There was a smell to my kitchen and front hall area that was so horrible I could barely go near them except to run quickly through holding my breath.  No one else could smell it and I couldn't after a few months, either, so I figured it was all in my head.

Now, suddenly, the smell is back and the nausea is back.  I'm not pregnant.  It would have to be an immaculate conception and I'm pretty sure God wouldn't choose me.  ;)

Whhhhhyyyyy is this happening?  I haven't thrown up yet but I'm getting close.  It's not a virus.  It's EXACTLY like pregnancy induced nausea.  Is this a psychological thing?  Has anyone else experienced this?  Hormonal imbalance?

I just had it for about 5-6 weeks and for me it was my thyroid, which was borderline hyperT. As soon as they switched my meds, it went away. It was horrible there for a while. I didn't actually throw up but I couldn't even look at a food advertisement or cooking show (and that's all I watch on TV), and if my husband started cooking, I'd have to go in another room.

Are you taking any medication?

thanks for the responses so I don't feel as crazy as I probably am!  No, no meds.  It has mostly gone away now so maybe it was a weird hormonal fluctuation.  Hopefully it doesn't mean I'm getting my period back anytime soon!orngtongue.gif
