I purchased a 3900 dehydrator in December and so far it has worked great with making food, but boy is it noisy! I was expecting and am fine with the low hum (like an exhaust fan in the bathroom), but when it's on it intermittently makes a very loud vibrating noise that intensifies if I press on the back of the unit. It will last several minutes and then return to the low hum, only to return a few minutes later. Anyone else have this experience?

did you check the fan cage? Sounds like something may be rubbing against the fan intermittently. There was a note w mine to check the cage and rebend it if necessary.

 I ended up turning the temp down, which helped considerably. I'll try your suggestion though, and next time I need to use the higher setting, I'll see if the problem is still there. Thanks!
