DH (whom I love dearly but... ummm.... can be a bit impulsive) went to the dr today. I was supposed to go with him (he was getting blood drawn and often passes out so I try to drive him to those appointments) but I ended up getting a job today at ds's school (I'm a sub para). When I got home dh said he got a vaccine as well as the blood draw. I was immediately on guard because dh has been ill for the last 4 or 5 days. I asked him what vaccine and he said "a tetanus booster". Again, I was on guard because dh's dr had been pestering him about the Tdap vaccine a couple months ago (dh had mentioned to him that we might TTC soon and the dr tried the whole scare tactic about how if we have a new baby around he for sure wants the Tdap vaccine so that he doesn't get the baby ill and how he sees babies dying of pertusis all the time and blah blah blah). Short story- dh got the Tdap vaccine. But not only that, but dh's lungs sounded so bad today (again- he's been ill, has asthma, often has breathing problems, etc), his dr. prescribed him a steroid to try and clear up his lungs.

TBH- I'm pretty pissed off about him being so impulsive. We've talked about the Tdap vaccine and we've talked about when to get it because he was leaning towards definitely wanting it (NOT getting it when you're ill!). He says he didn't really think about it, he just figured once he got there that as long as he was having needle stuff done he'd better get the vaccine too so he didn't have to come back another time and risk passing out again

So the question is..... what can he do now to try and help his body heal?
