Nighttime diaper for a 30 pound toddler (who releases the flood gates at night)

DS is 2 1/2, 30 pounds and really wets through his nighttime diapers. We are using BG (w/3 inserts). It's as if he saves up all of his pee for night and he is really soaking through his diaper & pj's. I think he is just too big for the BG's and he just pees too much at night. He is finally STTN, so I don't want to wake him up to go pee when we go to bed.

Any suggestions on other diapers we could use? TIA!

You need more absorbancy. If 3 inserts wont get him through, try 4. Although my 26 lb 16 mo is a guaranteed leak if i put him in a PUL cover or regular pocket.

We use a Happy Hempy overnight, stuffed w 2 trifold pfs, a Babykicks Hemparoo and a Loop-Do. I cover the whole thing w Babyology wool, which is virtually bulletproof.

I used a dream-eze fitted (any decent fitted would do) and a trifold hemp insert- trifolded then folded in half and shoved in the front of the diaper with a PUL cover and have no leaks. My boys have always been heavy wetters. If wetness against the skin is a concern - you could use a microfleece liner. They sell them on diaper sites or you can try to buy the fabric and cut out diaper shaped liners yourself.

See, this would be a guaranteed leak for us. The bed would be soaked by 3 am. Dream-eze is the most absorbent sized fitted we've tried, and this morning my DS peed through it, a 2-layer wool flannel cover and his blanket sleeper to leave a puddle on the floor, and he'd only been in it about an hour. I love my Dream-Eze, but for a super soaker, they wont last the night, even with help.
