Multiquote will not work for me.

I logged into my account

I clicked on Forums in the header

I selected the “Breastfeeding” forum

I clicked on the “Please Help” thread title

I typed in the quick reply box at the bottom of the screen

 

Tried to post three times and got error message _____

 

Expected: What result did you expect to happen?

Multiquote won't work for me.

I have mostly been in TAO trying to use multiquote.

I use Firefox.

I've had this problem several times.

Started after I came back from a break, the new software was up and going and I tried to multiquote.

I logged in ( though sometimes I was already logged in) probably hit new posts, clicked on an interesting thread, read, hit the multiquote button like I used to before, hit the reply button and got an empty reply box, no quotes.

I expected it to work like it used to work.

I have zero clue how to take a screen shot, ( and the directions are probably way too confusing for me to tackle this late at night!)  plus all it would show is what the screen looks like when you hit "reply" and there's a blank box to write in...the missing quotes are not there.

I think that is it.

I use a Mac. Multiquote used to work fine for me on the old server and I LOVED multiquote!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for taking the time to do that!

Here is the *new* way to multiquote. It's slightly different and takes a little getting used to because old habits die hard, but it should work for you:

Reply with a Multi-Quote

Replying with a multi-quotation allows you to respond in line to another poster and include context to your replies or to reply to multiple posters within the same reply. 

1. Navigate to the posts you would like to respond to.
2. At the bottom of each post, toward the left, you will see the Multi-Quote button with two sets of quote marks.  Click here on each of the posts you would like to quote.
3. When you are satisfied with your selection, click the Single-Quote button on one of the posts you would like to quote. (This is different than before and where things tend to go awry so be on the lookout!)
4. The text editor will open with the posts you have quoted.  When you are finished replying to the posts, click the "Submit Post" button at the bottom of the editor.

I should have poked around more instead of assuming it still worked the old way!

But I will know how to do it correctly now!
