Blurred Vision

I've done a search of related posts on blurred vision already.  As of about last night, my high resolution computer screen (small font size) is now difficult to see/focus on.  My day job is IT, so this is definitely a first occurance.  I have no headache, never had a migrain, no migrane history in my family.  It's kind of blurry around the parimeter, and if I make an effor to focus I can, but that's not normal.  If there's any other symptom it would be that my eye muscles feel "sore" from extra effort.  I guess I kind of feel a little "light" today, not dizzy but slightly floaty.  Ha, I gotta come up with some better adjectives.

I do feel slightly queezy, like morning sickness queezy, a 3-4 on a 1-10 scale if 8 is hurling.  But it's been going on for about 3 months now, besides failing pregnancy tests, I would have a belly an boobs by now if I were pregnant.  I think I'm about to start my period today or tomorrow.

My diet is above average healthy.  I had a great energetic work out yesterday.  I have had a winter cold lately.  Stress is usual/moderate.  I'm about to go drink more water thinking maybe it's potentially made worse by any sort of dehydration.

I'm not freeked out by the blurred vision, it's not that bad, but it's just weird, and not normal...inconvenient.  Can blurred vision come from hormone imbalance? (which might also explain the long term queeziness).  What else would it be besides a migrane?  Certainly I'm not "above" having my first migrane, but that would just flabergast me if that's what it is.

You're correct that harmless conditions can cause those types of vision changes but so can serious ones. I'd see an ophthalmologist as soon as I could (as in today) to make sure it's not one of the serious ones.

Hmm.  That's probably good advice.  Dang it, it's a lot more proactive than to sit here and mumble about it, take a nap, or call in sick.  Thank you though, it takes someone else saying it I think for me to choose to see someone about something like this.

I agree, see an eye doc. Blurred vision can be caused be high eye pressures which are dangerous and could lead to damage to your vision. I was diagnosed with glaucoma several years ago and when my pressures were high, I felt a bit queesy and had a headache and bluriness. You never know-better safe than sorry.

I saw an eye doctor and found nothing to be wrong with my vision.  Blood work I had at the doctors shows that I had Mono (Epstein Barr).  The blurred vision was at the height of the symptoms I experienced, and could have been the cause of it.  Fortunately the vision issues did not last more than about 2 days.

Thats great news about no eye problems. I'm sorry about the virus though.
