Vacuuming carpet under beds?

We're really hoping to get some hard flooring (laminate or wood) in the next year, but right now we have carpet. Under the beds gets SO gross and dusty.  I vacuum under the bed as far as I can or I try to use a tool on the extension pole, but neither really gets it totally clean. The beds are all very heavy and can't be moved with a lot of effort.  What do you do? Just live with it? Is there another trick I'm not aware of?

i shove mine over as far as I can with DH's help once every few years. Our very sheddy cat hides under our bed alot and it is very bad.I just ignore it most of the time.

I mostly ignore it too.  Once in a while DH will feel like rearranging the furniture so that's when it gets vacuumed.   But it has been getting cleaned regularly since we got a Roomba - that's one of the best things about it, that it can go under the beds and even under our coffee table (which isn't heavy but I still usually don't move it...).

Or you could store stuff under your bed, like out-of-season clothes in those long bins.  Then the dust would be on top of the bins but at least they would be easier to pull out and clean off!
