Soft-soled rainboots?

Do such things exist?  DD's walking like crazy now and I'd like her to be able to walk outside come rainy springtime.  I'm having trouble envisioning how a soft-soled boot could be waterproof, but thought I'd ask in case anyone knows of some.  Thanks!

Stonz Wear makes fleece lined water resistant booties that can slip over normal shoes or be worn as is, or with a thick sock. I find they work just fine for a 20 minute puddle session. My walker wore through the soles this winter because he wore them on concrete a lot, which I guess is not recommended. He's hard on shoes though, and manages to get holes in them before actually outgrowing them. Stonz has some designs half off right now so I just went ahead and replaced them.

Soft Star shoes are also having a sale and their Phoenix boot looks like it would be pretty water proof, especially if you coated the leather, but they are too pricey for us (but we wear and love their shoes).

If you sew at all you can take an adult neoprene sock (or just some neoprene), and make it into a soft bootie.  Seal the seams with tent seam sealer.  They do wear through more quickly than rubber boots, but work well.

I was just doing a search for this same thinf. the only two things I have come up with is a robeez min shoe that is suppose to be water resistant. and I-play makes a soft soled type of water proof sock/boot.

Just wanted to update in case anyone else is looking for these - Roobeez just came out with some rainboots.  I guess they're suitable for "light outdoor use."

I just bought these...there pretty cute and I guess like PP said for light outdoor use, maybe not standing in a 5 inch puddle for 10 minutes but good enough for walking outside in the spring.

What about eco friendly rain boots?  My DD is too big for those robeez.  She's in a 6 from Stride Rite and I'd love a rain boot for her to splash in the puddles and mud.

I don't have a good solution. But wanted to comment, stonz are great in the snow, but not made to play in puddles or in heavy rain. They quickly get wet.
