I would like to be added.  Im mid-cycle right now, and not trying until next O (end of Feb) but I think it should still count!  I just had a tubal reversal in December, and the end of this month will mark my 3 month wait to TTC.  Im 27, and we are going to start trying for our 3rd.  Ive been using OPK's for the last few months to pinpoint my cycles, and am considering temping...but Im not completely sold on it yet.

Add me!

I went to the doc on Monday this week. If I don't get pregnant this cycle, I'll be starting clomid on my next cycle.

I'm on day 26 of this cycle. I have long, sometimes irregular cycles. I got a positive OPK yesterday, so we're hoping to catch this egg before starting the clomid.

Oh and we're trying for #2.

Thanks for the new thread!!!

Welcome Dashley- I hope that you get your BFP soon, waiting is the hardest part!

Welcome Mallory- Time to get down to business! Enjoy the next few days, hoping you never have to fill that prescription!

Monday Check-In
Name:
Cait
Date:  2/2/11
Chart: BFPChart2.gif
Where are you in your cycle: CD22, 4 DPO
Appointments: Went to Acupuncture this morning in a snowstorm, I had to reschedule my Arvigo Abdominal massage, because SURPRISE- we got another foot of snow, and the place I was going was almost an hour away... I <3 New England!
Symptoms if they apply: Tender nipples- my acupuncturist said that my breast tenderness should reduce from treatments and from TCM, and it did, by a lot, but now my nipples are very sore...
Testing:  Only if I am late for AF
Thoughts: We weren't trying this cycle, and based on the 2 months when I was charting, I get 4 days of really good EWCM before O, so this month DH finally got better from the stomach flu, and I still didn't have any EWCM, and we were in the mood, and so I took an OPK on CD16, and it was negative, so we DTD, expecting that I wouldn't O for atleast 4 more days - since like I said, no EWCM - well, the next day, I get a GLARING positive on my OPK, but still no EWCM- so now I'm getting worried, and next afternoon, glaring positive, then I start getting cramps- so around midnight I took another OPK and it was negative, so..... now we wait. FF says my due date would be 10/22, my flight for vacation leaves 10/21. I don't expect anything, since after months of trying and nothing it doesn't seem logical that with crappy CM and poor timing this would be the month, but I'm stressed greensad.gif Stressed b/c if there is a baby in there it makes things complicated, and if there is not- it is just another month that we 'could' have conceived- and didn't. Plus this is my first month with regular acupuncture and TCM... Anyway, AF is due next Thursday.

Thanks for the new thread! BTW, ZoeJane'sMommy, how are you? How is everything?

Dashley111: Hi! Welcome! Also, I did my first charting cycle in January with temps and I am sold. I highly recommend it, and it's pretty easy/user-friendly once you see it all graphed up.

Hi Mal! I hope this is the cycle for your BFP.

cbaa2010: Keep us posted! I've been reading a lot about acupuncture for fertility, it seems fascinating.

Me: CD1 FIREdevil.gifThe Red Devil is in full effect. Counting down the days til I can start temping and OPK-ing!

Tuesday Check-In

Caitlin
Date:  2/2/11
Chart: BFPChart2.gif
Where are you in your cycle: CD4
Appointments: N/A
Symptoms if they apply: On the downswing of AF
Testing:  Not necessary
Thoughts: My last cycle was only 21 days with an 8 day LP. This cycle is only my second since having my Mirena out so I'm hoping my cycles will start to get a little longer as my body adjusts to not having the synthetic hormones. I'm also still nursing my 2-year-old and I've read that can affect the length of your LP. I'm just trying to stay positive and see what happens in the next cycle or two. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble when we "officially" start trying.

You can move me to Feb. BFP.  Here is my story that I posted in the old thread:

So I haven't been around for awhile, I'm sure some of you are wondering what happened.  I decided to take a break from TTC since I was still feeling uneasy about being pregnant again.  Some of you might remember that I'm pretty athletic so I was worried about losing my body again.  Well the DH and I decided to wait a year or at least until next August.  I've been soaking up sun, learning to windsurf, running, dancing, pilates, you name it.  Then last weekend I started feeling very constipated.  I went through a weekend of torture so on Monday I decided to go to our health unit for some meds.

I went to the health unit  b/c since we live abroad I didn't know any names of medications that could help my situation and they don't have prune juice.  The nurse asked the routine question, "Could you be pregnant?"  I hesitated and almost said "no" b/c we have been using condoms religiously for the past few months.  Then I thought about it and I remembered that the condom slipped off last time as my husband was exiting.  I caught the rim of the condom and was able to pull it out after a few seconds and I was pretty sure there was no spillage.  So I told the nurse that it was possible but not likely.  Since my period was due that day they decided to do a test before giving me the medications.  Guess what????? BFP!  I am still in shock and have not told my husband.  In Sept. we were actively trying with no success.  Oh the irony.  Anyway, I guess I will be having a baby in October!  I'm waiting until the 10th to tell my husband on our 4 year anniversary.

Tutucrazy, congratulations! What a (hah) crazy story! :) Just goes to show how little control we really have over what happens with our bodies. How great that you've been enjoying all the things you love to do, and I hope you'll continue to do the ones that you can throughout your pregnancy. Soaking up the sun sounds pretty awesome, what kind of country are you in? Will you still be there for the birth? I'm curious about birth experiences abroad, as we may be moving to the UK in the next year or so (and I have no idea how long it will take me to get pregnant).

Monday Check-In
Name:
Chicajones
Date:  2/3/11
Chart: BFPChart2.gif
Where are you in your cycle: CD 51, 13 DPO
Appointments: n/a
Symptoms if they apply: Really, really hungry lately. Definitely noticeable. I've had some cramping and twinges, and an overall "full" feeling in my stomach (even when I'm hungry).
Testing:  I tested this morning, BFN. I'm going to try and wait until Monday or Tuesday to test again.
Thoughts: I still feel like the crosshairs on FF could be wrong, even though I felt like they made sense. My temp jump on CD 45 was pretty high, so there's always a chance that was the day (although we BD then as well). I hate feeling so clueless--maybe I still haven't O'd at all? I'm just ready for something to happen, whether it's a BFP or AF.

Tutu: Congratulations! Looking forward to hearing about when you tell your husband!

chicajones: I hate when you get to the part where you just want SOMETHING to happen, AF or BFP. I hope it's the latter!

I know, craziness!  I'm still in shock.  It is killing me to wait another week to tell my husband but I really want to tell him in a special way.  I wrote a funny poem to recite at our anniversary dinner. He is going to be ecstatic since he has been wanting another for quite some time.

So far I'm able to do everything I was doing.  I will have to turn it down a notch on the windsurfing, no more going for speed.  I also will have to cut out any mid-day runs in the sun, which is fine b/c quite honestly those are killer anyway.  Ballet should be okay for a few more months, then I'll probably want to cut out the jumping parts.  The only problem I am having is that I'm so tired!  I just don't have the energy that I normally do.  Cutting out coffee doesn't help!

Living abroad is wonderful.  We are in Brazil and I could not be happier.  I love this place so much, the only downside is that their hospitals have 90-95% c/s rates.  Thankfully I have great connections with midwifes and OBs who are highly involved with the humanization of birth.  We are planning an HBAC for this baby and we are staying in Brazil.  For my son we were living in Puerto Rico and I naively decided to go back to Ohio to give birth.  That was a huge mistake.  It was a big hassle and in the end I ended up with a terrifying hospital birth experience.  I should have just done a home birth in PR!  It was my first though, so I didn't fully understand the implications of stepping foot in a hospital to try to give birth naturally.  I've had a few friends who live here in Brazil and returned to the US to give birth.  They have all regretted it as it becomes a paperwork waiting game to get back to Brazil.  For me, I really need to be comfortable and at home to birth.  Extended stay in a place that isn't home, regardless of whether it is your country of origin or not, just isn't the same as home.  As Dorothy says, "there's no place like home!"

Wow, that C-section rate in unbelievably high!  Are you planning a home birth this time around?

Thanks for the new thread!

Glad to hear we have some BFPs and some other possible BFPs hanging around.  FX for all of you testing soon.

AFM, I'm pretty down right now.  CD 9, had sex last night and will do every other day again this cycle.  I'm not doing soy or OPKs this cycle; I did it for 2 cycles and all BFNs, so it's time to stop wasting my money crap.gif  Went to the midwife today, and she seems to think that it would be a good idea to just go for a saline hystogram-thingy.  I was an egg donor twice, and the last time, they royally screwed up and I ended up on very strict hospital bedrest for 3 days, bleeding internally from god-knows-where.  SOOOO, my midwife thinks if anything is wrong, it is more likely structural damage or scar tissue.  Which scares the crap out of me.

Nick has his SA in about 2 weeks, so we'll wait til we get the results from that, see if we get preggers this month, and if not, we'll give a fertility specialist a call.  UGH.

For sure!  No way I'm setting foot in a hospital here.  Brazil is the land of the "cut your baby and have lipo at the same time".  Not kidding.  Overall doctors here are very unfamiliar with the natural birth process.

chica-- Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't see a confirmation for o on that chart at all. Basing it on temps, and not feelings, you can't confirm. Now-- that doesn't mean you --haven't-- and the temps are just off or not accurately reflecting, but as per true charting, no o yet.

JenineJessica -- Yeah, I kind of felt that way too. It's frustrating that FF gives me crosshairs--I haven't been charting that long and my temps are always kind of close, and so I assume FF "knows what it's doing," but I definitely wouldn't be shocked if nothing's actually happened.

I went off BC in April, and since then have had two visits from AF (July and December). I've always been somewhat irregular, but more like twice in one month, then skip a month, then regular for a few months. But never a span of more than two months without anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions for anything I can do to help move things along/regulate AF? Apologies if I've asked this before, but I feel like I don't have a clue. Soy? Vitex? I've heard things about sleeping with the moonlight/dark blinds? I keep getting these false hopes that my body will get into a normal cycle and then nothing happens. I'm healthy, 26, I eat very well (and eat plenty). I do weigh about 102lbs (5'3"), and I wonder if my low BMI has anything to do with it. But I've always been little (my whole family is tiny), so I feel like as long as I'm eating well, things should go back to normal. Any conditions I should read up on? Help!

I've never had problems with regulating cycles, so I'm no help there, but for FF, what o detector do you have it on? I might try FAM, not advanced. It seems to be a bit more accurate. It seems like you should be able to trust FF, but no- they are notoriously wrong with pinpointing o.

chicajones- I've only had about one or two cycle's of experience, but so far drinking a cup of red raspberry leaf tea everyday helps out a lot.  I started drinking just one cup everyday and I O'd on CD 18 last cycle, which is completely unheard of for me.  Right now I'm taking the capsules so I have no idea if they will help me O earlier again.  I think the tea works better though.

Thoughts: Not sure if we'll actually be trying yet.  We might just start not really protecting.  We probably shouldn't even have a kid right now.  It's just really sad because the baby I m/c recently was due in April and I didn't want the due date to approach without already being pregnant.

I am doing good thanks for asking. I am on cd 8. We had a huge snow storm also so I could not make it to my OB appointment, but luckily I was able to get my doctor to represcribe one month of clomid. However she would not subscribe 100 mg only 50...........................................so we will see how this month goes.

Hi ladies. I've been MIA for a few weeks. DP and I just moved into our new place and aside from having to wait for our Internet to be turned on we've been busy organizing everything. I'm just finally getting over a nasty case of the flu which really messed up my temps over the weekend. I got 2 temps over 100 and 1 that was 99.19. Based on these temps FF was telling me that I'd ovulated on CD 19 which would have been great cause we had BD on CD 17 but once I discarded those temps it's now saying I havent ovulated yet. Starting Sunday I had clear ovulation pain, same thing on Monday as well. My regular pattern is that I ovulate 2 days after I feel that pain but DP and I both are exhausted from moving and I don't think we'll get any BD in. I think we missed our chance this cycle and it's really upsetting. From the year has started more and more of my friends having their first and second and I just can't seem to get pregnant with my first. I don't mean to be a downer but I have missed talking with you ladies on here. Y'all always know the right things to say.

Hi everyone :) I don't post very often on MDC...but I need a second opinion. I'm 25, and just recently started ttc #1. I had a chemical pregnancy last month. I have been charting my cycles for a while now, and my chart this month looks a little funny to me. I think the day it says I ovulated is wrong....if anyone wants to have a look at my chart and give me their opinions, that would be great. I'm kind of new to the whole thing, so not to sure.
