Looking for chicken pox in NJ, NY, PA - Page 2

Seems like we have a case of chicken pox. We're in NYC (Queens). I'm not positive yet because my child has only 4 or 5 spots at the moment, but it's only been one day. She was exposed 13 days ago to another child with pox so I'm assuming that's what this is. I'll post again if it develops into more, but if you're interested in a playdate at this early stage, PM me.

I am so interested. I am in Allentown PA and would love to schedule a playdate if it turns out to be cp. Hope it's not too uncomfortable for your little one.

Extremely interested!!!!  Please PM me your information!  I live in Brooklyn.

Thank you!!!

It's definitely chicken pox, but it just seems to be a mild case, or else a very slow moving one. On day 2, she still only has about a dozen spots. I don't know if that means she would be less contagious than if she were covered, but if anyone wants to have a playdate and give it a try, let me know!

Ok... it looks like I am going to be going to NY tomorrow to expose my 4yo to cp. I live in Allentown and am happy to expose others in this area if he actually get it. I'll keep everyone updated.

I am so bummed I missed out, it's probably too late! But I am subscribing to this thread now- I am horrible at remembering to check threads so getting an e-mail will help! I exposed my youngest daughter to a full-blown case of pox during the beginning of may. But my daughter didn't get them! I remember it took a few exposures for my oldest to get them and she never got them from exposure at pox parties but ended up getting them from my other child. If anyone gets the pox for their child(ren) and is willing to share, I am very willing to drive an hour or a little more to try and get them :) I am in Northern NJ on NY state border.  Thanks!

Yes, the key is to subscribe to this thread rather than try and remember to check back on your own.

Thanks for the heads up about subscribing.  I didn't know that.

Am sooooooooo grateful for you answering my please.  Please let me know if this is chicken pox, sounds like it is because the timing is right from exposure.  Sometimes it only ends up being a mild case, you will probably know for sure by tomorrow.  Fun way for you to spend Father's Day.  Will check E-mail tomorrow to see if I hear back from you. THANKS!!!!

I am in Massachusetts, on RI border, looking for chicken pox as well.  I have been communicating with some of you in the past couple of months in connection with the cp thread in Ma, RI and CT.  I have two little ones who have been exposed three times without results and blood work shows no antibodies.  Just broadening my search area in the hopes of getting this asap.  Would LOVE a playdate with anyone willing to host.

Thank you so much to the mommas who continue to notify those of us out here looking!!  I never thought this was going to be this hard!

I am hoping for cpox soon.  If any spots turn up I will post.  A slight color in one spot, but no fever or sickness in my child.  Text to your cell would be best to make contact.
