Boy or Girl? 16w (X-Posted)

We had an elective scan done last week at 16 weeks. We received a boy and girl shot both. In the boy shot, look to the middle where there's a triangle and then you can make out the legs. It's easier to see it if you look that way since the sonographer did not label the photo or place her pointer next to it.

That's a tough one!  I would guess girl, because I could make out the three lines clearly in the girl pic, but didn't think the boy pic was as clear.  I can really see how it could go either way though.  GL, I hope you get what you are wishing for:)

I can't make out anything in either of those pics, much less boy or girl parts.

I can't tell... the girl pics seems clearer to me but maybe 'm just betting girl cause you have 3 already

That first picture is really bad.  The second one looks clearer, but again, neither is great.  The women over at ingender.com are pretty good at such things if you want to post there!

No idea! I am sorry and 16 weeks is also very early. Will you have another scan?

I thought the second picture looked like an arm.

Lol @ you ladies. No one really knows for sure, even on IG. We would see a "penis" one minute followed by a "scrotum" and then we'd see "labia." What concerns me about the three lines in the girl pic is they go out from the body quite a bit and are very circular. It just doesn't look like my girls and I had early scans with the last two at 16 weeks.

The pictures are clear to me, but I guess it was because I was there and she explained really in depth what we were seeing. The baby was not cooperative AT ALL!! So that didn't help anything. She said she had never had that much trouble determining gender at 16 weeks and she's been in private practice as an elective scan center for 2 years, but was in MFM before for 15 years.

I'm taking off work tomorrow for a repeat scan. It'll just be a quickie scan, but maybe we can find out one way or the other. I'll make sure to update.

I can't make out anything in the boy pic. I know what you mean by it being clear to you. You were there! I have so much trouble explaining U/S pics to my mom and other family. They just don't see what I see. As far as the girl pic, I can make it out. I think it's pretty convincing that baby is a girl. I'm going to go with girl on this one. I have two girls and one boy and I did a lot of staring at those U/S pics. My boy was pretty obvious but my girls took some looking. Good luck on your scan tommorrow. Mine is not next Thursday but the Thursday afterwards and I am so excited!

Confirmed girl today. It was the first time this tech had been wrong in 20 years. Of course, I was the first. =) My luck, right?
