Hi ladies!

I'm gathering this is an American site? I'm an Aussie and haven't found any good natural living Aussie sites so I hope ul accept me here!! I've been grain and dairy free for a year and mostly raw for about a month, I've never really eaten alot of meat and found it upsets my tummy along with the same effect with eggs. So I just found out I'm pregnant with my 3rd and am worrying ever so much I'm starving myself! I have a raw banana and almond milk smoothie for breakie, grapes for mornin tea, 1 liter of fresh veggie/fruit juice for lunch which I can tell you now takes away ANY type of craving and I end up forcing myself to eat dinner as I'm never hungry. I've started eating cooked rice again which seems to b ok, no nutritional value but fills me up. So any menu ideas? Once I get a food dehydrator I'll b going fully raw besides the roasted potato cravings....

Nice to meet u all

Xx

Welcome to MDC! I think most folks around here are from the US, but there are also many who live in other parts of the world, so you'll fit in just fine. thumb.gif

I don't have any menu recommendations per se, but are you making sure you're getting some good fat and protein? You didn't really say what you eat for dinner. But if you're not already doing so, maybe adding some coconut oil, flax oil, or hemp oil to your smoothies would be a good way of getting some healthy fats in.

Hi there!

I was high raw vegan during my pregnancy. If you can get your hands on the book "Conscious Eating" by Dr. Gabriel Cousens, he has some great nutritional reccomendations for raw and vegan mothers.

I had horrible morning sickness throughout my whole pregnancy, and found that I really felt best when I ate a lot of fat. I ate at least 1 avocado a day, along with lots of raw cured olives. I also ate a lot of hemp seed and tahini. Another aspect of my diet that I emphasized was greens. I ate almost a head of kale every day, lots of nori and sea vegetables and lost of algaes.

Despite my morning sickness, I had a really great pregnancy. I was able to stay active, and even hiked a few miles while in labor. I had a smooth and uncomplicaed home birth, and my daughter was 8 pounds! Everyone kept telling me I was going to have a small baby!!

Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions!
