Question about changing avatar...

So I saw another thread here asking about how to change the avatar, so I followed the directions, and after uploading my photo, I got a message box that says "Unknown object to create image association with." The picture is saved to an album, but it doesn't change my avatar. Help! I tried different pictures, same result every time, what am I doing wrong?

It sounds like it's some sort of software glitch you're experiencing. I'm not seeing any photos in your MDC album that were successfully uploaded. Was it an online site where it was saved and retrieved from? Do you know if it was a jpeg or pic that you tried to upload? If you want to email me your avatar image, I'm happy to place it for you.

Yeah, they're not in my album anymore, I deleted them because I wanted to try again (to make sure it wasn't user error!), and I didn't want one album full of the exact same image :)  The image I was trying to use is just from my computer, not online. I don't know what type of file it is (not on my own computer right now) I'll check, do you suppose that's the problem? Are there only certain types that will work?

Thanks for the help-If I can't figure it out I will try emailing it when I get back to my own computer! I'd still love to know what I'm doing wrong, though, I don't want to have to trouble someone else to do it anytime I want to change it, kwim?

Oh, of course! It's much better to be able to do it yourself. If you continue to have the same problem, if you can outline the steps you're taking for me, I should have a better idea of what's going on/going wrong. It might be that it's a software bug so in order to diagnose, if you don't mind filling this out, we'd be able to see exactly what's happening when you go to upload. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience!
