What causes enamel discoloration or damage?

I know damage can be present in celiac, but why?  Is there a particular enzyme or nutrient that would cause damage if it were not present in high enough quantities?

it's malabsorption caused by the damage to the intestinal villi.  Celiac disease, if gluten is not avoided, can disrupt the absorption of any nutrient which can affect the body in a number of ways.  Teeth are not exempt.

So true for me as my enamel is really bad. It has been for years. I am just trying to heal it after figuring things out. After cutting out gluten for my dd and giving her cell salts, her teeth are really looking solid and white again.
