Has anyone knitted their own wool diaper covers? I have a pattern i like, now I need a recommendation for what yarn to use. - will any 100% wool work? Merino wool is so much softer - would that work as well?Â
I have knitted a few soakers for DS, and I generally use Patons Classic Wool. It's pretty soft, easy to work with, and economical. I have also knit one diaper wrap with a merino blend. It was nice and soft and worked fine, although I found it stretched out more than the others.
Thanks for the input guys! I have a 5 mo old and many wraps leave such marks around his fat little thighs - i was hoping the wool covers would be a little more forgiving in that area ...i think i will use the Merino wool for the ribbing around the legs.
