It is NOT necessary.  If it was, it would be done right away, not scheduled for the end of March. 

 

For the love of god, it's HIS penis.  Let HIM make the decision at a rational age.  I wish I could go back in time and shake some sense into my mom to leave my penis alone.

This thread is a little old, but I would like to voice my opinion.  I am one of the (minority?) Intactivists who believe that even children born with atypical genitalia have a right to an intact body - provided surgery is not required for an immediate health concern, of course.  There are many men out there upset and harmed by hypospadias surgeries preformed before they were able to voice their consent.  There are many many people who have been harmed by genital 'normalizing' surgeries.  This is the other side of the MGM/FGM argument.
