Progesterone shots for preterm labor, a WWYD?

I've been taking the progesterone shots to prevent PTL/PROM since 16 weeks.  With my oldest I PROM'ed at 36 weeks with no warning.  With my younger one it was 33 weeks after a long string of complications started by a stomach virus and dehydration.

This time around I'm currently 34 w 3d (Yay!) and supposed to do a shot a week until 36 weeks.  My mom is a CNM and she has been giving me the shots at home.  I went in to see my OB this week, and he is going to be gone the week of 2/21, when I am 37 weeks.  He has agreed to be on call exclusively for my birth, except of course that week.

I've read and my mom agrees that it is her experience that women who have progesterone shots often go into labor when they stop getting the shot, about 7-10 days after the last one.  Which would put me right into the week when my OB will be on vacation. :(

I have enough medication to do one more shot at the end of my 36th week instead of stopping at the end of my 35th week.  Should I do it in hopes that it will keep me pregnant another week until 38 weeks?

I don't see why it would hurt.  Especially with your history...the longer the babe can be in there the better.  My ob is considering giving mine until 37 weeks.
